Flight to Ibiza. On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, Grupotel Santa Eularia for Seven nights Half Board accommodation. Transfer time 30 minutes.
Day Two – Walk 1 – Ses Salinas
Ses Salinas 5 miles 50m ascent / 60m descent A walk around the stunning nature reserve and salt flats close to Salinas beach. Reaching the original pirate lookout tower and finding secluded coves and fishermans huts. We take you from Salinas beach to the salt fields and over ancient paths. You’ll learn about the important history of the salt production and how that changed Ibiza. We may be lucky and see some flamingos as we carry onwards and upwards to Cap des Falco before heading back in nature along ancient paths through a lesser known hidden valley. A very interesting and beautiful walk.
Day Three – Free day
Free day.
Day Four – Walk 2 – Formentera
Formentera 7 miles ascent 180m / descent 20m After breakfast you will meet your guide and travel by coach to the boat harbour (approx. 30 mins) for the crossing to the neighbouring Isle of Formentera. The crossing lasts approximately 35 minutes and on arrival at Formentera, you will have a short bus journey up the easternmost point of the island, La Mola, where Bob Dylan lived in the 1960s and from where your walk begins. Your route leads up the Sa Pujada (hill) road, believed to have been built by the Romans, and then follows the cliff path, with great views (you can see almost all the island from here) and crosses the Mitjorn Beach. After the walk, you have an hour free time in the village of Pilar De Molar where you can explore and enjoy a drink in a local café. You will return to the port by local bus to catch the boat back to Ibiza, and return by coach transfer to the hotel.
Day Five – Free day
Free day or optional excursion to Ibiza Town.
Day Six – Walk 3 – Santa Agnes
Santa Agnes 5 miles ascent 140 m / descent 140m There are some walks which are requested time and time again and this is one of those. A gentle walk through the countryside, dipping into the cool forests before emerging onto a headland with an incredible viewpoint looking both north and south along the coast. Departing from the sleepy village of Santa Agnes, we leave the church behind us and soon head into the countryside. Following the tracks originally used by men making whitewash, we can discover some of their old cal (lime) ovens which are still amazingly intact. We continue to meander through deep pine scented forests, foraging for herbs, rosemary, thyme and lavender, before emerging on a headland with an incredible view point looking both north and south along the coast. From this 300m high vantage point with the azure blue sea below us, we can see the tip of Es Vedra and on a clear day as far as mainland Spain. You might be lucky and see dolphins from here!
Day Seven – Free day
Free day.
Day Eight – Departure Day
Free time until your transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
