Walking & Birdwatching in Menorca

Looking for a walking and birdwatching holiday in Menorca?

The very large variety of habitats on Menorca and its location between Africa and Europe make it one of the most popular Mediterranean destinations for birds. Pine forests, large canyons, rural or wetlands, salt marshes, islands or oak forests in all of them live and nest a huge variety of sedentary and migratory birds, which stop on the island during their journey. You’ll have the opportunity to visit privileged places for bird watching on the island such as s’Albufera of the Gray Natural Park, a fresh water lagoon and its shores from the ‘nucleus zone’ of the protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, along with Favàritx and the Addaia Salt Pans.

Your accommodation will be at Valentin Son Boua welcoming hotel located near the stunning Son Bou Beach, the longest stretch of sand on the island. The hotel offers comfortable, spacious rooms with modern amenities, along with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness area, and tranquil gardens. It’s the perfect base for relaxing in between your birdwatching walks while also giving you easy access to Menorca’s natural beauty and scenic trails.
